  • Dear colleagues. I would like to inform you that we have more than 30 years experience in the design, synthesis and investigations of liquid crystalline compounds for different types of LCD's. We have designed and synthesized more than 2000 LC compounds and we have developed the original technologies of the preparation of LC compounds from 3,6-disubstituted cyclohex-2-enones, 3,5-disubstitiuted cyclohexanones, 3,5-disubstitiuted 2-isoxazolines. These methods allow realizing the goal-directed synthesis of various liquid crystalline derivatives of cyclohexane, cyclohexene, biphenyl, terphenyl, quaterphenyls, other LC compounds and materials needed for the display’s production. The technologies have several advantages in comparison with well-known ones and allow preparing dozen of new LC compounds which can reduce the temperature formation and extend the temperature range of nematic or smectic phases, increase positive or negative dielectric anisotropy, reduce mesophases viscosity, reduce or increase the optical anisotropy of the nematic phase, adjust control voltage and other parameters of LC mixtures. The prepared results demonstrate that the new combinations of alkyl and substituted alkenyl tails, cyclic and bridge fragments and the introduction of the lateral substituents in the central core of the LC compounds can provide desirable variations in their properties. I propose to use our ideas and technologies for the design and production of new generation of LC compounds, other materials for the display’s application. I believe that using our knowledge and experience, your facilities and chemicals, we can successfully realize this project.
